About Me

Sally Hunt - Journalism For SchoolsMy name is Sally Hunt and I am an award winning freelance writer and editor based in South Lincolnshire, UK, with over 25 years’ experience in local and national newspapers and magazines.

I won awards early in my career when I worked on the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, these included Emap Trainee Journalist of the Year (across the country) and Emap Journalist of the Year. These were awarded to me for my ‘off diary’ skills – something my students are fascinated to hear about.

I have written many articles and features over the years, ranging from commercial features and business profiles to hard news reports, specialised features, columns, reviews, web content and humorous articles.

I have recently worked as Editor on the launch of two new magazines which involves not just writing good copy, but putting together interesting content and working with the rest of the team to make it a strong marketable product.

On a personal note I live with my husband Neil and we have a busy household with five children, three cats and two dogs!
